ULTRAHOOK UHR40 VEHICLE RESTRAINT
“OVERRIDE MODE” WHEN THE REAR IMPACT
GUARD CANNOT BE ENGAGED BY THE RESTRAINT
If the restraint member moves to within 4 inches of the front face of the pit without engaging the rear impact guard, an
error condition occurs. When an error condition occurs, the exterior wall-mounted red light will remain illuminated, the
interior panel-mounted red light will fl ash and the alarm will sound.

Turn the 3-position selector switch to “
DISENGAGE
” to return the restraint to the stored position.
If engagement by the hook is not made and the trailer can not be repositioned to accomodate engagement, turn the
3-position selector switch to the “
OVERRIDE
” position. The outside wall-mounted red light will remain illuminated and
the interior panel-mounted yellow light will illuminate, warning the operator to proceed with caution. SECURE THE
TRAILER BY OTHER MEANS (i.e. wheel chocks).

WHAT TO DO IF THE VEHICLE ATTEMPTS TO DEPART WHEN RESTRAINED
If the truck/trailer attempts to drive away while the Ultrahook is still engaged, a pulsing error alarm will sound and the
interior panel-mounted red light will begin to fl ash quickly. Halt the truck/trailer and return it to the dock face. Clear the
error by pressing the “
RESET
” button. Turn the 3-position selector switch to “
DISENGAGE
” before allowing the truck
to depart.
Note:
For all other errors, the operator must fi rst press the “
RESET
” button before operations can be resumed.
