INSTALLATION
Since some equipment is optional and some components
may already be installed, each particular installation may not
include every step. Nevertheless, it is recommended you
follow all steps in sequence when installing the ProStop-E
ISOBUS rate controller and system components.
It is also highly recommended that the user navigates through
all the interface screens prior to in-field use to ensure that
settings are correct for the desired application.
All installations must follow Calibration and Pre-Application
System Review steps to ensure safe and accurate operation of
system.
WIRING AND COMPONENT CONNECTIONS
1. Locate your machine’s Breakaway Connector (IBBC) and
connect the Interface Cable (2520-0237) (Fig. 1) to it.
2. To install the Rate Controller Harness (2520-0258),
find a location near the machine's center that provides
easy routing of the cables to the flow meter, pressure
transducer, and flow control device. Mount the Rate
Controller (2850-0029) (Fig. 9) so it is within 8' (2.5m) of the
2520-0237 cable.
It is also recommended that the module be mounted in
some type of enclosure to prevent damage and ensure
longevity.
3. Place the module in location, mark holes, drill, and secure
with fasteners (not included). See Fig. 9 for mounting hole
dimensions.
4. Bolt the Rate Control Harness (2520-0258) onto the
bottom of the Rate Controller (2850-0029).
5. Connect the Interface Cable's (2520-0237) four-pin
connector (Fig. 1, Item 4) to the fused four-pin connector
on the Rate Controller Harness (2520-0258) (Fig. 3, Item 1).
6. Connect the remaining two Interface Cable (2520-0237)
connectors to the mating connectors on the Adapter Cable
(2520-0253) (Fig. 2, Items 2 and 4).
7. Connect the Rate Controller Harness's two-pin connector
(Fig. 3, Item 4) to the mating two-pin connector of the
Adapter Cable (2520-0253) (Fig. 2, Item 3).
8. Connect the Rate Controller Harness's ten-pin connector
(Fig. 3, Item 2) to the mating connector of the Input/Output
Harness (2520-0250) (Fig. 5 item 5).
9. Connect the Input/Output Harness's flow meter connector
(Fig. 5, Item 1) to the machine's flow meter. See this
manual's Wiring Diagram for further information.
10. Connect the Input/Output Harness's pressure transducer
connector (Fig. 5, Item 2) to the part number: 2530-0209
pressure transducer. See this manual's Wiring Diagram for
further information.
11. Connect the appropriate flow control pigtail on the Input/
Output Harness (Fig. 5, Item 3) to the machine's flow
control device. See Wiring Diagram in this manual for
further information.
