As demonstrated with these four graphs, as more data is averaged as the PV Filter Setting is changed
from Low to Medium to High, the data from the same pumping process appears more stable. The
following graph demonstrates the
negative that comes with using a filter- which is the increased
amount of time it takes to stabilize and reach the actual value. In this example, a constant pressure
source was vented in the same manner and the delay to reach zero as more PVs are being average is
apparent:
