ill be displayed on the recipient’s mobile (varying slightly dependent on the receiving
phone) as shown in the figure below.
Under the heading “!!VIBRATION ALERT!!”, the instrument name is displayed. Below this, the date and
time of the alarm event are displayed, followed by the three vibration values measured at the time of the
alarm signal. Lastly, the main frequency and the remaining battery power of the PCE-VM 40B are shown.
5.16 Phone book
The phone book is saved to the SIM card. If you already have contacts saved to the inserted SIM card,
these will also appear in the PCE-VM 40B. New contacts can be added to the phone book via the PCE-
VM 40B.
The phone book is found in the main menu under “Alarms/GSM”, sub-menu “GSM/SMS” and from there
under “Phone book”. To edit the phone book, you need to be connected to the network.
Press F1 to create a new entry. First enter the telephone number without spaces and then the name.
Press OK to save the entry.
With the ▲ and ▼ keys, you can scroll through the existing entries.
Press◄ to delete an entry.

The phone book can store a maximum number of 50 entries.
