Getting started
4.1
Power supply
For power supply, two AAA Alkaline batteries are required. Before replacing the batteries, turn off
the meter. The battery compartment is located at the rear side of the meter and fixed with two
screws. Loosen the screws and remove the cover. A black battery dummy is glued into the third
battery location. Do not try to remove the dummy. Insert the two batteries as marked and close the
battery compartment by tightening the screws.
4.2
Preparation
Connect the included probe or one of the optional probes to the probe socket of the meter.
Observe the correct position of the plug (red spot). To start the meter, press
until the display
shows the start screen. The meter will then be in measuring mode. To turn off the meter, press
and hold
.
4.3
Settings
4.3.1
How to select the unit
The unit can only be changed from µm to mm or vice versa when an Fe probe is connected. When
an M probe is connected, the only possible unit is mm. To change the unit, press the
key once.
The unit currently set is shown in the upper part of the display. It can be changed in measuring
mode and in mean value mode.
