Introduction
The Reset button (see figure 23 on page 74 for the SN4150 Reset button location, and figure 24 on page 75 for
the SN5550 Reset button location) is used to do the following:
• Reboot the SmartNode device (see section “Resetting the SmartNode device when it is operating and the
Power LED is lit” on page 76)
• Erase the startup-config settings, which is followed by a SmartNode device reboot as indicated by the slow
blinking of all LEDs (see section “Resetting the SmartNode device when it is operating and the Power LED
is lit” on page 76)
• Factory reset, which is followed by a device reboot as indicated by the fast blinking of all LEDs (see section
“Resetting the SmartNode device when it is operating and the Power LED is lit” on page 76)
• Troubleshoot the SmartNode device if it is not booting properly (see section “Resetting the SmartNode device
when it is initially powered off ” on page 76)
