If an error occurs, all LEDs will flash for

than 5 seconds before the

SmartNode SN4150 VoIP Gateway
The SmartNode SN4150 is a compact VoIP Gateway that supports 4 up to 8 VoIP calls (see

stands for 2 Ethernet ports

stands for FXS ports

stands for FXO ports

stands for BRI port (NT/TE)

HP
stands for High Precision Clock (less than 5 ppm)

stands for external universal input power supply

LED
Description
Power
When lit, indicates power is applied. Blinks fast during bootloader phase and blinks
slow during the boot process . Becomes solid when the system is up and running.
VoIP
•
When lit, indicates the SmartNode device is registered to a SIP server, or a SIP
device has registered to the SmartNode device.
Off indicates the unit is not configured or registered, or has no active directly routed
VoIP connection.
AUX 1 & AUX 2
•
Auxiliary LEDs for future use.
Voice Ports FXS
0—FXS 3
•
When lit, indicates FXS port is enabled. Flashes when there are ongoing or ringing
calls.
•
Off when no line or phone is connected or the port is shutdown.
Voice Ports FXO
0—FXO 3
•
In ‘Idle’ state LED is off
•
In ‘Dialing’ or ‘Ringing’ state blink-frequency is 2 per second,
•
In ‘Connected’ state blink-frequency is 1 per second
BRI 0—BRI 3
•
When lit, indicates ISDN layer 1 and Layer 2 are active. Flashes when there are
ongoing calls.
•
Off when no line or phone is connected or the port is shutdown.
ETH 0 & ETH 1
•
When lit, indicates the Ethernet connection on the corresponding port has a link indi-
cation.
•
Flashes when data is received or transmitted at the corresponding Ethernet port.
GIG 0 & GIG 1
•
When lit, indicates Ethernet is connected to a 1000Mb network.
•
Off when Ethernet is connected to a 10Mb or 100Mb network or not connected.
