Unauthorised changes to the unit ex-
clude liability of the manufacturer for
any resulting damage and/or injury.
k)
Spare parts must conform with
the requirements specified by the
manufacturer.
Therefore use origi-
nal spare parts only or spare parts
authorised by the manufacturer.
When replacing parts, please follow
the supplied installation instructions
and remove the battery beforehand.
l)
Have repairs carried out exclu-
sively by a qualified technician or
a service centre. We recommend
new users practise cutting round
wood on a sawing block or frame.
m)
If the machine is subjected to
unusually high loads for which
it was not designed (e. g., heavy
impact or a fall), always check
that it is in good condition before
continuing work.
n)
Caution! The use of noise emit-
ting power tools may be restrict-
ed to certain times by national or
local regulations.
o)
For safe and proper handling, al-
ways keep the chain and guide
bar in flawless condition. Keep
the chain properly sharpened,
tensioned and well lubricated.
p)
Please observe, that improper
maintenance, the use of com-
ponents that have not been ap-
proved by the manufacturer or
the removal or modification of
safety installations can lead to
damage and/or serious injury.
q)
Take regular breaks and change
the working position regularly to
avoid tiredness or exhaustion –
risk of accidents!
11 ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUC-
TIONS ON RISKS DUE TO VIBRA-
TION
a)
The declared vibration data rep-
resents the main applications
of the tool, but different uses of
the tool or poor maintenance can
result in different vibration data.
This may significantly increase the
vibration level over the total working
period.
b)
Additional safety measure shall
be taken to protect the user from
effects of vibration.
Maintain the
tool and its accessories, keep hands
warm and organize work patterns
and periods.
c)
Prolonged use of the power tool
may result in vibration-induced
circulation problems in the
hands (whitefinger disease).
Recommendations:
-
Let the machine do the work. Hold
it as lightly as possible, as long as
a safe working method and the
control of the machine is ensured.
The machine should lie on the
work piece and be supported by it
as much as possible.
-
Inform the responsible foreman, if
any extraordinary vibrations occur.
-
Wear suitable clothing and fitting
gloves that keep you warm and
dry.
-
Reduce or avoid the consumption
of tobacco in every way before
and while working with tools that
cause strong vibrations. Nicotin
reduces the blood circulation
within hands and fingers.
-
Continual and regular users should
monitor closely the condition of
their hands and fingers. If any of
the above symptoms appear (e.g.
tingling sensation in fingers), seek
medical advice.
d)
Reduce the working time!
In-
clude all working cycles, also
those involving the operation of the
machine with no load.

of the battery, Vapours may be emit-
ted. Provide for fresh air and seek
medical help in case of complaints.
The vapours can irritate the respira-
tory system.
