IMPORTANT SAFETY ADVICE
•
Please read the additional advice in the accompanying booklet called “Safety advice”.
•
Wear ear protectors. Look after your health – please wear safety glasses and a
breathing/dust mask.
•
Each time before use, carefully check that the machine is in good order. Examine the workpiece
carefully to look for any hidden foreign bodies (such as concealed metal parts). Remember that
considerable danger of injury can arise from objects that are picked up by the saw blade during use.
•
Keep the saw table clean at all times.
•
Always work using a sharp saw blade and a correctly set riving knife. Do not tilt the workpiece as
there is always the danger of kickback (the workpiece is picked up by the saw blade and spins up
to strike the user).
•
Avoid the danger of cutting yourself on the stationary blade after use by turning the wheel to lower
the blade height until the dust cowl lies on the saw table. When changing the saw blade, always
wear suitable protective gloves.
•
Protect yourself from unintentional contact with the rotating blade by keeping an adequate distance
between you and the saw blade. Use the push stick, see figures B and D.
•
Always keep the mains cable away from the working area of the saw and lead the cable away
from the rear.
•
Do not use distorted or cracked saw blades.
•
Make sure that you use a saw blade suitable for the material you are cutting.
•
Never use the machine without the safety guards attached.
•
If the table insert
is worn, replace it.
•
Make sure the push stick is always within reach at the machine.
•
When sawing long workpieces, they must be supported and guided by a second person behind the
