MAKING MITRED CUTS

1. First slide the mitre guide
into the groove.

2. Unscrew the clamping screw, set the required angle and retighten the clamping screw.

3. Press the workpiece against the mitre guide.
0
4. Switch on the machine as described above.
0
5. Slide the mitre guide
evenly forward, see figure C. Saw the workpiece in one operation.

6. Switch off the machine immediately if you are not going to continue to use it
CHANGING THE SAW BLADE
Before starting any servicing tasks on the machine pull the mains plug out of the socket.
Attention:
Even a stationary saw blade can cut or cause injury. Work carefully and wear suitable
protective gloves
when you are changing a saw blade.

1. Remove the dust cowl/blade guard

2. Remove the saw table inlay (table insert
). To do this, unscrew the two screws using a cross-head
screwdriver.

3. Unscrew the fittings on cover plate to the saw blade and swing the plate away.

4. Hold the saw blade securely with the supplied counter key and loosen the clamping screw with
the supplied special spanner, see Fig. G.
0
5. Carefully remove the saw blade, moving it upwards.
0
6. Clean the clamping surfaces. Do not use cleaning agents that may have a detrimental effect on
the light metal parts.

7. Place the new saw blade in position. Only suitable saw blades are to be used. See the sections
“Technical information” and “Accessories”.
Attention:
Take note of the direction of rotation and the correctly installed position of the saw blade.
Saw blades must be mounted properly. Ensure that they are balanced, rotate smoothly and cannot
come loose.

8. Replace the flange. Hand-tighten the nut. Fully tighten the nut with the 19 mm spanner and lock it in
position using the counter key/special spanner.

9. Screw on the cover plate again tightly.
10. Put the saw table inlay/table insert
back and screw into position.
11. Attach the dust cowl/blade guard
and bolt into position.
SETTING THE RIVING KNIFE
Attention:
The riving knife is one of the integrated safety devices and must always be correctly
installed. The distance between the outside edge of the saw blade and the riving knife must be
between 3 and 5 mm, see Fig. 10).
