2.3 Cleaning
Regularly clean tools.
Tool elements made from light alloy, e.g. resin, may only be
cleaned with solvents which do not damage the properties of
these materials.
2.4 Installation and securing
a) Tools and tool cores must be mounted so they cannot come
loose during operation.
b) When assembling tools, be sure to clamp onto the hub or the
clamping surface of the tool and the blades do not come into
contact with each other or with clamping elements.
c) Tighten retaining screws and nuts to the torque specified by
the manufacturer using suitable spanners, etc.
d) Extending the spanner or tightening with hammer blows is
prohibited.
e) Remove any dirt, grease, oil and water from the clamping
surfaces.
f) Tighten retaining screws as instructed by the manufacturer.
g) Only use fixed rings, e.g. pressed in or glued rings to adapt the
spindle diameter of saw blades to the spindle diameter of the
equipment. Using loose rings is prohibited.
h) Reducing rings may only be used if they are manufactured in
accordance with manufacturer specifications.
i) Wear safety gloves and tight fitting clothes, use ear protection.
3. Handling
The circular saw blade may only be installed and the equipment
operated by experienced personnel instructed in safety.
Observe the instructions for use for the saw blade and the equip-
ment.
Secure the equipment from accidental starting.
Only install the circular saw blade using clamping flanges desig-
nated by the equipment manufacturer and matched to the saw
blade, and only with the designated tools, to the torque specified
by the manufacturer.
After installing the circular saw blade properly reattach all guards
on the machine, if applicable correctly position splitting wedge.
Have a qualified person perform a test run.
Handle tools as specified by the manufacturer to prevent injuries.
Do not reach into the rotating tool.
Keep non-participating persons away from the danger zone.
Do not make adjustments around the rotating tool.
Watch for imbalance.
Never run equipment unattended
Take measures to prevent kickback and use the respective devices.
Inspect materials to be cut for foreign objects.
Signs of dull tools are: excessive wear marks along the blades,
nicks in the blades, inadequate cutting quality, excess current
drain from the sawing machine.
Discontinue using saw blades with teeth thinner and / or shorter
than 1 mm.
Repairing circular saw blades is prohibited.
