Using Remote Communication for the First Time
On the Windows “Start/Programs” taskbar will be a title for “Multi485 DDE
Server” which will lead to Multi485.
If no shortcut was created the file resides inside the Multi485 directory where it
can be started manually.
6.1 Multi485.exe
The <multi485.exe> file is the application file for remote communication. It also
provides a status report on network communications.
N.B.
The <multi485.exe> file must be running to enable remote communication
with the network.

When Running For The First Time
Starting the <Multi485.exe> application will bring up a rectangular window on
the screen. “No Station Files or Corrupt Station File found: Add/delete file(s)!!
6.3
Enabling Communications For The First Time
Select “Stations” on the top menubar. This will lead to the “Station
Configuration/Selection” screen. Click the “Add Station” button. Browse to the
station directory CD drive. Select “Dryer-station.stn”. The relevant files will be
copied from the CD. Returning to the “Station Configuration/Selection” window
select “Dryer-Station” and click the Edit station file
The contents of the station file will be displayed. By default the station file is
setup for 31 dryers of Pneudri Electronic dryers all fitted with software version
3.5.
Edit the file and enter the information about each dryer i.e. machine number
and appropiate node file.
The only changes required to the station file will concern Pneudri Electronic
dryers V3.3 or MXA.
Example: Using the 3 dryer network shown in Figure 1.
The station file corresponding to dryers 2 & 3 requires alteration where 3_5
requires changing to 3_3.
