Installation
5.1
Introduction
To interpret the data and make it available to the widest range of programmes
the software provides a gateway between the raw data provided by the dryers
and then translates it and makes it available through the DDE interface
supported by Windows and most Windows based packages.
5.2 Hardware
Requirements
A PC running Windows 95/98/2000/XP or NT 3.51/4.
Note: Windows 3.1 is NOT supported.
4Mb of free hard drive space for the programme and associated files.
Plus free hard drive space for data and run files.
The minimum specification requirement is a P166 with 32Mb of RAM.
5.3 Installation of Multi485 Software
Insert the CD
From the Windows “Start” button choose “Browse”.
Find the CD drive
Choose the directory which matches the operating system in use
Inside the directory is an “exe” file. Double click on this file.
Follow the onscreen instructions
A directory called multi485 will be created on the hard drive
The default location is <C:\program files\multi485>
The installation of the DDE Server Software is complete.
