Function 14 - Setting the paper level alert threshold
This function is used to set the alert threshold after which a fault will be raised to
warn that the ticket roll must be replaced.
When a new ticket roll is installed and the agent confirms replacement ("211"
function), the counter is reset to
6500 tickets
.
The ticket counter will then count down each printed ticket.
Ticket rolls contain two references that allow the adjustment of the ticket
counter:
When the paper reaches the 'double' black dot, the counter is automatically
set to
499
tickets remaining.
When the paper reaches the 'triple' black dot, the counter is automatically
set to
199
tickets remaining.
LOW TICKET
COUNT 0000
The setting method thus depends on the desired alert limit:
If you want the alert to be raised when fewer than 499 tickets are
remaining, enter the limit value (e.g. "300") directly.
If you want the alert to be raised when more than 499 tickets are remaining,
enter a fictitious alert limit calculated as instructed below.
Confirm the entry with the
V
key.
Calculating the fictitious limit for an actual alert threshold above 499 tickets:
With a standard ticket roll containing 4500 tickets, if you want a real alert limit Sr
above 499, the fictitious alert limit Sf is to be set as follows:
Sf = (6500 – 4500) +
Sr
For example, for a real alert threshold at 600 remaining tickets, the fictitious
alert threshold must be set to 2600 (6500-4500 + 600 = 2600).
