A temperature of about 650 ºC (1202 ºF) is the correct one to have the engine well carbu-
reted but even so we can close the screw a little and go up a bit more, at most we will have
750 ºC (1380 ºF). In competitions these values are low, but as we are not in competition
and what we want is to take care of our engine, we will control this EGT Temperature well,
put the correct values and thus be able to have an optimal Data, of course a fully operational
engine and without heaters. You have to monitor and program this Alarm according to the
need of your motor and correct carburetion.
Alarm to control the temperature of our cooling circuit in water cooled motors.
This H2O Temperature Data has been programmed so that it marks you 5 by 5 ºC, that is to
say that when it comes to alarm value it is better to put for example 75 - 80 - 85 than not
73.5 / 79.8 or something like that.
We think that a good standard value like Alarm is of 80 ºC (175 ºF), but it depends on your
motor, some engines will need less and other engines can have higher data, this difficult be-
cause in our tests already with about 90 ºC the water started to boil and evaporate. Better
to have a Data a little lower and to warn us in advance of a possible heating or lack of refri-
geration. It's up to you.
7 - H2O Alarm (Water Temperature)
This Alarm is programmable in the Configuration part.
We have configured as standard value = 80.
