5 - CHT Alarm (Cylinder Heat Temperature)
This Alarm is programmable in the Configuration part.
We have configured as standard value = 210.
6 - EGT Alarm (Exaust Gas Temperature)
This Alarm is programmable in the Configuration part.
We have configured as standard value = 750.
A very interesting alarm because it will indicate the temperature value in degrees ºC or ºF
of our engine cylinder just below the spark plug. We have programmed it to 210 (in this case
ºC or you can set 410 ºF). This programming is only orientative because your engine can
have other completely different values, it is best to consult with the manufacturer of your
engine, see what it advises you and on top of that, set the CHT Alarm value.
A low value can jump the alarm and alarm us for no reason, a very high value may be late
when it jumps, since the motor is heated and can get clogged or have problems. You can go
testing and uploading Degrees until you get the correct Alarm programming.
As a general rule, 2-stroke engines will be able to reach CHT at 230-240 ° C as the maximum
temperature. Better to do tests and go little by little.
A very important alarm because it will indicate the value in degrees ºC or ºF of the gases
that leave our exhaust, with which we will be able to see if we have well carbureted the en-
gine and the air - fuel mixture has the correct proportion. (Rich mixture: for having excess
fuel or Poor mixture: for lack of fuel).
