Security

Overview

The DSU/CSU provides several methods of security by limiting user access to the
ATI through option settings. Refer to the

ATI Access

section on page 7-4.

Enable the Login Required option to require a Login ID for the:

— Terminal Port

— Telnet Session via the IP interfaces (the Management port or the FDL)

Limit the access:

— Port Access Level option of 1, 2, or 3 for the Terminal port

— Session Access Level option of 1, 2 or 3 for the Telnet Session

Disable the access:

— Telnet Session option

— Management Port Use option

— Facility Data Link (FDL) option

— Dial-In Access option for an External Device
