SNMP TRAPS (NOTIFICATIONS)
SNMP Notifications are often referred to as SNMP Traps. Clicking on the Notification “EDIT” button will
pop-up a window to add and remove IP Addresses that have been identified to receive the traps. The
window is used to setup the IP Address of the SNMP manager that will be receiving the trap
notifications, the port (default SNMP Trap port is 162) then, whether the SNMP trap should be sent as
SNMP v1, v2c, or v3, the user type that the trap should be sent as (default is public) and to enable or
disable the transmission of the traps. See below for an example setup that will send SNMPv2c traps.
Click the “SAVE” button to update the Notification parameters. Click the “CANCEL” button to cancel the
notification updates.
