Error Indication
When an error occurs, an error code appears on the front panel of the laser welding machine controller.
Errors are categorized into alarm and warning depending on their details.
This chapter describes the details and measures of errors.
Alarm
Errors that occur when highly emergent safety function is activated or there is any abnormality in laser welding machine are
output as alarm.
When an alarm occurs, the laser supply (laser pumping) is turned OFF, and the laser radiation is stopped if during lasing.
Release method of alarm
1. Remove a cause of alarm and confirm the safety. (Any alarms due to hardware's problem cannot be released.)
2. For error codes E004, E011, E260, and E700, use any of the following means to input the alarm reset.
• Press the alarm reset switch on the controller.
• Turn on ALARM RESET IN (X13) on the I/O terminal.
For the alarms you are unable to reset such as the ones caused by hardware or system error, restart the laser welding
machine.

Description
Measures *1
E004
LASER STOP 2 IN is disconnected.
• Connect the LASER STOP terminals of the I/O
terminal.
• Check the status of the safety equipment
connected to the LASER STOP terminals.
• Confirm operation logic of the connected
devices.
• Connect the internal or external power supply
to IN COM. and OUT COM. in the I/O terminal
respectively.
E011
LASER STOP 1 IN is disconnected during lasing
operation.
E021
Fiber unit or head housing is detached.
• Install the fiber unit properly by following
the procedures described in the Setup/
Maintenance Guide.
• If there is a looseness in the head housing,
contact our sales office or representatives.
E205 - E207
Temperature error in galvanometer or driver.
• Check if the ambient temperature of the laser
welding machine is not exceeding the range of
its specification.
• Avoid placing heat sources near the head.
E208
E209
Improper setting combination of scanning speed
and drawing data.
Turn off the power and after rebooting the laser
welding machine, correct the following settings.
• Decrease the drawing lines and coordinate
numbers.
• Decrease the scanning speed.
E210 - E218
*2
Galvanometer error.
• Check and correct the power status.
• Check if the AC power line is effected by noise.
• Check the connection of the cables and
signal lines, and then restart the laser welding
machine.
E220 *2
Internal shutter error.
Check the connection of the cables and signal
lines, and then restart the laser welding machine.
