Compressor Replacement Procedure

(8) Install the compressor drive belt

c

 Install the compressor drive belt on the main unit of the engine and on the compressor.

d

 Turn the tension adjustment bolt (in the clockwise direction) and lower the bracket to tighten the belt. When 

doing so, tighten the tension adjustment bolt while supporting the belt with a hand as shown in Figure 9 so that 
it does not slip off. Use a hand to support the belt until a certain amount of tension is placed on the belt. (Figure 9)

Be sure to press down with the palm of your hand without grasping the belt when adjusting the tension.
