Use FM outdoor aerial if radio reception is poor.

Disconnect the FM indoor aerial.

The aerial should be installed by a competent technician.

Disconnect the outdoor aerial when the unit is not in use.

Do not use the outdoor aerial during an electrical storm.
The unit can display the text data transmitted by the radio data
system (RDS) available in some areas.
If the station you are listening to is transmitting RDS signals, “RDS”
will light up on the display.
To display the text data

RDS displays may not be available if reception is poor.
Press [MUTING].
Sound from this unit’s speakers is
muted.
To cancel
Press [MUTING] again or reduce the volume to minimum (– – dB),
then raise it to the required level.
Muting is also canceled when you switch the unit to standby.

To listen to sound from this unit through your
television’s speakers
Connect the television and the AV1 terminal on the main unit using a
21-pin Scart lead.
Press and hold [MUTING] until “A1 MUTE OFF” appears on the
unit’s display.
The audio is output from both the speakers and the television.

To cancel, press and hold [MUTING] and select “A1 MUTE ON”.

Reduce the volume and connect the
headphones (not included).
Headphone plug type: 3.5 mm stereo

Adjust the headphone volume with
[VOLUME DOWN, UP].
Audio is automatically switched to stereo (2-channel).

Do not play your headphones at a high volume. Hearing experts
advise against continuous extended play.
