HOW TO DETERMINE IF THE DTV TUNER UNIT IS DEFECTIVE
Disconnect all connector cables on the TV/Tuner Unit, then take out the TV/Tuner Unit from the unit.
Or, place the TV/Tuner unit in Service Position (1).
Refer to DTV Tuner Unit Service Position, Figure A or B.
Picture is NOT displayed,
Menu (OSD) is NOT displayed
Connect the cable from the antenna or cable system to the ANTENNA (A) terminal of the DTV Tuner Unit.
Check the input voltage of the DTV Tuner Unit
at the following points on theTuner C.B.A.
(Use Pin 1 of P7007 as GND.)
P7007(Pin 3)
: Approx. +30V
P7007(Pin 50~53, 58~61) : Approx. +10V
P7007(Pin 64) : 7.5V
Is the voltage at Pin 17 of P7007 (RESET (L))
on the Tuner C.B.A. approx. +3.3V (High)?
Replace the DTV Tuner Unit.

Is there serial data 1 at Pin 35 of P7007 on the
Tuner C.B.A. ?
Check the voltage at the following points.
on the Tuner C.B.A.
(Use Pin 5 of P7002 as GND.)
P7002(Pin 1)
: Approx. +30V
P7002(Pin 2, 3) : Approx. +10V
Check the following parts on the Tuner
C.B.A.
IC7001, Q7001, Q7002, Q7003
Replace the defective parts if necessary.
