Initializing the Modes
You can change the Menu settings back to the
shipping condition.

Set [CAMERA FUNCTIONS] >>
[OTHER FUNCTIONS2] >> [INITIAL SET] >>
[YES].

The initializing takes for a while.

After the initializing is completed, the
[COMPLETED] Indication appears with
beeps.

Initializing will not erase the Owner ID setting
and the clock setting (

) that has been
adjusted.
Warning/Alarm Indications
If any one of the following indications lights up or
flashes, please check the condition of the Movie
Camera.

: Condensation has occurred.

: The accidental erasure prevention slider on
the inserted Cassette is open (that is, set to
[SAVE]).
You are about to do audio dubbing on the
unrecorded (blank) portion of the tape.
No Cassette is inserted.

: The Battery is low. Recharge it.

The tape came to end during recording.
REMOTE:
Wrong Remote Controller Mode has been
selected.

(OTHER FORMAT):
You are attempting to play back a tape
section that has been recorded with a
different TV system.
UNABLE TO A. DUB
(LP RECORDED):
Because the original recording was done in
LP Mode, audio dubbing cannot be
performed.
INCOMPATIBLE TAPE:
This Cassette is incompatible.
PLEASE RE-OPERATE
AFTER PUSHING
RESET BUTTON:
Mechanism Irregular is detected. Press the
[RESET] Button (

). This may solve the
problem.
TO SERVICE:
It is a malfunction.
CARD FULL:
Card does not have sufficient memory
remaining.
Select Card Mode and delete unnecessary
files.
NO CARD:
Card is not inserted.
NO FILE:
Card has no files recorded on it.
UNPLAYABLE CARD:
You are attempting to play back a data
which is not compatible with this Movie
Camera.
CARD ERROR:
This Card is not compatible with this Movie
Camera.
COPY INHIBITED:
Because the medium is protected by a copy
guard, images cannot be recorded
correctly.
INCORRECT
OPERATION:
You are attempting to record to a tape in
VCR Mode.
You are pressing the [PHOTO SHOT]
Button in MPEG4 Recording or Voice
Recording.
You are attempting to record to a tape in
Card Mode.
CONNECT USB CABLE:
The [WEB CAMERA] on the
[CAMERA SETUP] Sub-Menu of the
[CAMERA FUNCTIONS] Main-Menu is set
to [ON] with USB Cable unconnected.
Connect the USB Cable to the Movie
Camera and the Personal Computer.
DISCONNECT USB CABLE:
You are pressing the Recording Start/Stop
Button, the [PHOTO SHOT] Button or the
[TITLE] Button in the WEB CAMERA Mode.
You are pressing the [TITLE] Button in
Camera Mode or VCR Mode with a USB
Cable connected.
You are attempting to record on a Card with
a USB Cable connected.
CANCEL WEB CAMERA MODE:
It is not possible to operate the
[OFF/ON/MODE] Switch in the WEB
CAMERA Mode.
