5.18.2.

Detection of ice making tray

Detection of the ice making tray is carried out mechanically
using the detection ice lever.

Caution 

• When removing the ice making tray, always set to “Stop ice

making” (press button for 3 secs or above) before removing. 

• If the “Stop ice making” button is not stopped before remov-

ing the tray while ice removal is operating, then you may
break the ice making tray.

5.18.3.

QUICK ICE MAKING

Press "Quick ice making" button which is installed on the
PC(Refrigerator compartment) door surface. According to the
ambient temperature, a compressor runs for a certain time con-
tinuously and the FC fan motor runs under high speed.
If pressing "Quick ice making" function, the ice-making speed is
increased and ice can be made approx. 80 minutes at the
quickest. (This function ends automatically in approx. 6 hours.)

5.18.4.

Stop Ice Making Control 

Used when wanting to temporarily stop ice making or to wash
the ice making tray.

Setting  method•••Press “Stop Ice making” button for 3
secs of above, and release button after the buzzer beeps
and LED is lit.

After control is started, the following operations is conducted.

After 3 secs for the next 30 mins (after ice making tray is
removed and washed 

 ice making)

1. Ice making stop lamp flashes for 4 secs and buzzer

beeps 

 micro computer prepares to stop ice making and

stop water supply
*During ice ramoval or water supply (standby) 

 after

completion 

 Stop control started

2. When preparation is completed, 

 lamp is lit and buzzer

noise stops

3. Possible to remove ice making tray and wash
4. Ice making tray returned (inserted)
5. Press “Stop Ice Making” button for 3 secs or above(LED

off)
The following operaions occure according to the status
before stopping. 

• Befor stoppong: Immediately befor ice removal - Ice

removal operation 

• Befor stopping: Immediately before water supply - Water

supply occurs 30 mins later

*Note, if during full ice detection, ice removal operation
occurs after 60 mins.
*Note, if ice compartment door opened during water sup-
ply standby, ice removal occurs 30mins later.

If ice making tray is empty (insufficient tank water), ice mak-
ing stop is continued.
*If there is water or ice in the ice making tray, ice removal is
conducted after it becomes complete ice, afterwards water is
not supplied and making stop is continued.

Ice making test control

It is possible to confirm the operation of the ice making mecha-
nism or the water supply pump.
