• The power failed.
• The power plug was disconnected.
• The refrigerator is not used for a long time.
• The automatic icemaker is not used for a long time.
• TWhen you move or transport the refrigerator.
• To turn off the optical Ag lamp on the back surface of the
refrigerator.
9 Test Mode
9.1.
Test of ice-making
Normally, ice making mechanism dosen’t work while the ice
compartment door is open.
• Ice making test 1; After starting test, operation doesn’t stop,
even when door is opened, so it is possible to confirm by
sight the operation of the ice making mechanism
• Ice making test 2; After staring test, operation is stopped
temporarily when the door is opened and resumed when it is
colsed.
(ustomers can confirm ice removal and water supply status.
Details are included in the instruction manual)
9.1.1.
Ice Making Test 1
After starting the test, operation dosen’t stop, even when the
door is opened.
Operation/confirmation method
1. While in service mode status, press “Stop Ice Making”
button (while Ice compartment door is closed)
(Stop Ice Making lamp flashes and intermittent buzzer
sounds)
2. Open Ice compartment door
3. Confirm operation of Ice Removal by ice detect lever and
revolving of ice making tray.
4. Confirm operation of Water Supply by the pump operating
sound and water level of tank.
5. Test is completed when lamp turns off and buzzer stops.
9.1.2.
Ice Making Test 2
After starting test, operation is stopped temporarily when the
door is opened.(Water supply operation does not stop)
Operation/confirmation method
1. While in normal use status, press “Stop Ice Making” but-
ton for 10 secs or above.(while Ice compartment door is
closed)
2. Confirm the sound of the Ice removal motor.
3. Confirm the sound of the water supply motor.

4. Test is completed when lamp turns off and buzzer stops.
9.2.
DEFROST TESTING
(FORCIBLE DEFROSTING)
Both pressing "Ice making off" button and "Freezer" button for 5
seconds, defrosting test mode starts.
You can check defrost operation by press "Quick freezing" but-
ton. Because of "Quick freezing" LED will blink on and off.
Forcible defrosting operation will be automatically cancelled
when FC defrost sensor temperature rises to 13
°
C.
After this forcible defrosting finishes, the cooling system re-
starts.
This function starts that defrost sensor is below 8 degree.
If you would like to stop this function forcibly, unplug this unit.
9.3.
COMPRESSOR LOTATIONAL
SPPED FIXING FUNCTION
If you receive the service call about a compressor noise, you
can fix the compressor speed tentatively when checking noise.
(HOW TO SET)
• Press both "REFRIGERATOR" button and "ICE MAKING
OFF" button at once for 5 seconds. Then, LED indicates "C"
→
"-" at first.
• On this condition, press "Quick freezing" button. The sign
changes to "C"
→
"24".
So, you can change compressor speed by pressing "Quick
freezing" button.

(HOW TO CANCEL)
Press both "REFRIGERATOR" button and "ICE MAKING
OFF" button at once for 5 seconds again.
Remark
• The compressor rotational speed fixing function can only
done when compressor running.
• If compressor stops, plese open PC doors.
Then, compressor starts running.
