Phonebook features
iPhone/iPad
You can use the app’s phonebook features
similarly to the way you use the contacts app
of your smartphone.
Note:
R
When using iPad or iPad mini, Smartphone
Connect does not support adding or editing
a contact’s picture.
R
Many features of the app function by
accessing the information stored in your
device’s contacts. Depending on the
software version of your device, a dialog
may be displayed that asks whether you
want to allow the app to access your
contacts. You can change this setting later
if desired in the privacy section your
device’s “Settings” app.
R
If you change the privacy setting, the app
restarts. If you are on a call, the call will be
disconnected, therefore we recommend
changing the setting only when you are not
on a call.
Android
Use the phonebook app included with your
smartphone to add, edit, and erase contacts
that are stored in your smartphone.
Note:
R
To call a contact stored in your
smartphone, see “Calling a contact” on
page 7.
R
To copy contacts stored in your
smartphone to the base unit phonebook,
see “Copying contacts” on page 13.
