Cautionary Points for Safe Use of Battery Pack
Warning
Inappropriate use of the battery pack may result in excess heat generation, fire or explosion etc. Be sure to follow the cautionary points below.

A battery pack with visible swelling may be dangerous. Contact your dealer or a Panasonic service center.
≥
Do not use the battery pack with any equipment or charger other than the ones specified in the Panasonic Operating Instructions.
≥
Do not put near a fire or in a microwave.
≥
Vehicle interiors can sometimes reach high temperatures. Do not leave the battery pack in a vehicle for an extended period under these conditions.
≥
Do not store or use the battery pack in warm humid conditions, such as in a bathroom etc.
≥
Do not use the battery pack for extended periods on flammable carpets, duvets, or electric carpets etc.
≥
Do not leave equipment in small enclosed spaces for extended periods with the power on.
≥
Do not allow metal items such as coins, keys or a watch, hairpin or necklace etc. to come into contact with the battery pack terminals.
≥
Do not use any battery pack other than the ones specified by Panasonic.
≥
Do not take the battery pack apart, crush it, or poke it with nippers etc.
≥
Do not drop or subject the battery pack to strong shocks.
≥
Do not put the battery pack in a high-temperature environment of 60
o
C or more.
≥
Do not put the battery pack in a high-humidity environment.
Cautionary Points
Be sure to follow the cautionary points below.

Do not store the battery pack in a location exposed to direct sunlight.
≥
Do not store in a box or drawer which could short-circuit the terminals by providing a conductive path.
≥
If the battery pack leaks, do not allow the liquid to come into contact with your skin or eyes. If contact occurs, wash the affected area with
plenty of water and seek medical attention.
≥
Check the polarity of equipment electrodes and be sure to orientate the battery pack correctly.
≥
If you swallow the battery pack, seek medical attention immediately.
≥
Keep the battery pack out of the reach of children.
≥
Store the battery pack in a clean, dry environment. If the battery pack is dirty, wipe with a dry cloth.
≥
The battery pack must be charged prior to use. Be sure to charge correctly, in the manner specified by the manufacturer.

Keep the Operating Instructions for the battery pack in a safe place for subsequent reference.
≥
Only ever use the battery pack in the manner intended. Where possible, remove the battery pack when equipment is not in use.
Charging the battery pack:

Use only specified Panasonic equipment for charging.
≥
Charge the battery pack fully prior to initial use.
≥
Charge the battery pack in an environment with an ambient temperature of between 10

C and 30

C, and use between 0

C and 40

C.
Disposal of the battery pack:
When disposing of the battery pack, be sure to follow regional recycling procedures, disposal regulations etc.
