Getting Started/Basic Operations
[TV Connection]
This sets how the unit connects to a television etc.
[TV Aspect]:
Set to match the type of TV.
[16:9]:
When connecting to a 16:9 screen TV.
[4:3]:
When connecting to a 4:3 screen TV.

This will work when the AV cable (optional) is connected.
[HDMI Mode (Play)]:
Set the format for the HDMI output when playing back on the
HDMI compatible high-definition TV connected with this unit using
the HDMI micro cable.
[AUTO]:
The output resolution is automatically set based on the
information from the connected TV.
[C4K]:
The progressive method with 2160 available scan lines is used
for output. The output size is set to 4096
k
2160.
[4K]:
The progressive method with 2160 available scan lines is used
for output. The output size is set to 3840
k
2160.
[1080p]:
The progressive method with 1080 available scan lines is used
for output.
[1080i]:
The interlace method with 1080 available scan lines is used for
output.
[720p]:
The progressive method with 720 available scan lines is used
for output.
[576p]:
The progressive method with 576 available scan lines is used
for output.
[480p]:
The progressive method with 480 available scan lines is used
for output.

The available settings differ depending on the [System Frequency]
setting,

[59.94 Hz (NTSC)]: [AUTO]/[4K]/[1080p]/[1080i]/[720p]/[480p]
–
[50.00 Hz (PAL)]: [AUTO]/[4K]/[1080p]/[1080i]/[720p]/[576p]
–
[24.00 Hz (CINEMA)]: [AUTO]/[C4K]/[4K]/[1080p]

This will work when the HDMI micro cable is connected.

This will work only during playback.

If no image appears on the TV with [AUTO], switch the setting to a
constant setting other than [AUTO] to set a format supported by your TV.
