You can copy programmes recorded on a video cassette onto a disc 
with one stroke of the button.
In One Touch Copying, programmes are automatically copied onto 
the disc from the location of playback at the time when the copying of 
the tape starts.

While both DVD and VHS are stopped

Press and hold [

 DVD, COPYING] on 

the main unit for about 3 seconds or 
more (until “START” on the unit’s 
display stops flashing).

Check if copying starts properly.

Copying is automatically stopped when the tape reaches its 

end or the disc becomes full.

started.

When the copying is not started or not executed, the “COPYING” 

indicator blinks for about 7 seconds. Check if the unit is properly 
prepared.

Turn on the television and select the appropriate video input to 
suit the connection to this unit.

When copying an NTSC tape to a DVD, change the “TV 
System” to “NTSC” in the Setup menu (

69). This unit cannot 

record NTSC signals to discs that already have PAL signal 
recordings.

Press [DRIVE SELECT] to select the VHS drive.

Insert the video cassette containing the programme to be 
copied. (

Dividing a title to be copied

When copying from VHS to DVD, the title is divided by index 
signal (

41) detected and then recorded. You can search 

desired titles with the Direct Navigator (

32) after copy to DVD.

Titles that are too short may not be divided correctly.

The recording time may become longer than the original title 

depending on the number of index signals.

If you want to copy without dividing the contents into titles, 
follow the method below.

Set “Time Setting” to “On” on the GUI Copy (

50).
