14. Materials - Troubleshooting
The images are not output to the external monitor or external recorder during playback.

Check the settings in [Output Resolution(Playback)] under [HDMI / SDI Connections] of the [Setup] ([IN/OUT]) menu. (

Set the [SDI Output] to [ON] from the [HDMI / SDI Connections] of the [Setup] ([IN/OUT]) menu when the images do not
show up on the SDI output destination.
●
When you press [Q.MENU], [Fn2], and [Fn4] at the same time, [Reset] is performed and the camera returns to the default
settings. Afterwards, set the menu according to the external device’s capabilities.
The recording information or menu screen is not displayed on the external monitor or external recorder.
●
The recording information or menu screen will only be output to either the HDMI output destination or SDI output
destination. You can set the output destination of recording information or menu screen in [Info Display (HDMI/SDI)] of the
[Setup] ([IN/OUT]) menu. (

When [HDMI RAW Data Output] of [Video] ([Image Format]) menu is turned [ON], the menu screen will stop being output
via HDMI. (

– Before turning [HDMI RAW Data Output] to [ON], prepare an environment where the menu screen can be displayed on a
PC installed with “LUMIX Tether”, or an SDI monitor in advance.
– When the menu screen cannot be displayed, you can set [HDMI RAW Data Output] to [OFF] with one of the following
methods:
Pressing a Fn button registered with [HDMI RAW Data Output]. (
Register Functions to the Fn Buttons
Pressing [MENU/SET], [Q.MENU], and [Fn3] at the same time. ([Info Display (HDMI/SDI)] is switched to [AUTO].)
The image is blurry or not colored.

The output destination images are displayed with gray bands.

Gray bands may be displayed on the top and bottom or the left and right of the images. You can change the band color
in [Background Color(Playback)] in [HDMI / SDI Connections] of the [Setup] ([IN/OUT]) menu. (

Cannot communicate with the PC.

When connected with a USB connection cable.
Please confirm settings of [USB Mode] in the [Setup] ([IN/OUT]) menu. (

When connected with a LAN cable.
Check the setting in [IP Address Setting (LAN)] under [LAN / Wi-Fi Setup] from [LAN / Wi-Fi] of the [Setup] ([IN/OUT]) menu.
