3. Enter a device name for your phone. This is the name other devices with Bluetooth
wireless technology see when they connect to your phone.
4. Select the Discoverable pick list and select one of the following:
•
Yes:
Nearby devices with Bluetooth wireless technology can find your phone
and request a connection. You can accept or refuse the connection request.
•
No:
Only devices with which you’ve already formed a trusted pair can find
your phone. New devices cannot request a connection.
5. Select Setup Devices.
6. Select Hands-free Setup.
7. Follow the onscreen instructions to create a trusted pair with the specific hands-
free device. In some cases you may need to perform setup steps on the other
device before you can complete this step. Check the documentation for your
hands-free device for specific setup instructions.
8. After you finish setting up the device, select Done to return to the
Applications View.
You are now ready to use your Treo smartphone with your hands-free device with
Bluetooth wireless technology.
Your Treo smartphone does
not support Bluetooth
wireless connections to
stereo headsets, or
keyboards.
The Bluetooth setting must
be set to On for your phone
to be discoverable.
