HELMET MARKING RECOMMENDATIONS AND
RESTRICTIONS.
Subject to the restrictions on modification or drilling holes, most self-
adhesive labels and other forms of external marking can be applied to
the shell.
PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES AND PRECAUTIONS
The helmet user is cautioned that most of the performance properties
of the helmet cannot be safely tested by the user in the field. Because
helmets can be damaged, they should not be abused. They should
be kept free from abrasions, nicks and should not be dropped, sat on,
thrown, or used as supports. This applied especially to helmets that
are intended to afford protection against electrical hazards.
