Adjusting the fence
The original spacing as supplied, is between the vice (14) and the fence (15) is
175mm.
When cutting wider materials the rear fence (15) will need to be adjusted to the
rear position. When cutting narrow work pieces the fence (15) should be
positioned in the most forward position.
To adjust the fence (15) loosen and remove the two
bolts securing the fence (15) using the 17mm side of
the double ended spanner (19) (Fig. 5).
Move the fence (15) backwards or forwards to one of
the other two fixing positions (Fig. 6).
Tighten the two bolts to secure the fence (15) in position.
Caution:
Narrow work pieces may not be secured safely
when using a too wide an interval for the fence. Ensure
that the fence is set to the most forward position that
allows the work piece to be clamped securely.
Turning on and off
To prevent accidental starting, the metal cut-off saw is
designed with a dual action switch.
Caution:
The metal cut-off saw can be started by
pushing either the lock-off button (2) or trigger switch
(1) in any order. Ensure the instructions below are
adhered to.
Plug the cordset into the mains socket.
Push the lock-off button (2) and pull the trigger switch (1) to start the tool (Fig. 7).
To stop the tool release the trigger switch (1) .
When you release the trigger switch (1), the machine turns off and the lock-off
button (2) re-engages to prevent accidental operation.
WARNING!
The cutting disc (7) will continue to run down for a short
period of time after the trigger switch (1) has been released.
