Motor Assembly
23. Refer to Fig.8 and select parts bag H (13).
24. To attach the motor and motor housing (8), line
up the keyways, slide the motor and motor
housing (8) over the pinion shaft. Screw the two
M8 lock nuts to the threaded stub on the motor
and motor housing (8). Using a 12mm spanner,
secure the motor and motor housing (8) to the
frame assembly (5) with the M8x55 bolt and
lock nut.
Setting your Operating Position
Note:
The tipping handle (16) is spring loaded. This provides an easy positive control
of the drum assembly (1) which can be locked in the mix (Fig.9, Fig.10), discharge
(Fig.11) and storage (Fig.12) positions.
The drum assembly (1) locks in position by a lug on the self-locating tipping handle (16)
which engages into the locking plate (14) on the frame assembly (5). To tilt the drum
assembly (1), withdraw the tipping handle (16) to dis-engage the locking lug. This then
allows the tipping handle (16) and drum assembly (1) to be turned in the same direction.
To retain the drum assembly (1) in position, align the lug with a matching hole in the
locking plate (14), release the tipping handle (16) slightly while retaining the drum
assembly (1). Rotate the tipping handle (16) until the locking lug engages into the
locking plate (14).
Loading / Mixing / Storage Positions
To mix mortar, position the mixer as shown in Fig.9.
To mix concrete, position the mixer as shown in Fig.10.
To empty the drum assembly (1), position the mixer as shown in Fig.11.
When storing, position the mixer as shown in Fig.12.
Note:
When possible, secure your cement mixer to the ground to maintain stability.
