11. Secure the lower drum (11) to the frame assembly (5) by lining up the holes in the
side supports of the frame assembly (5) with those in the bearing bracket (10),
insert one of the M8x50 hex bolts from one side, then one of the lock nuts from
the opposite side. Repeat this on the support leg (18) side with the other M8x50
hex bolt and lock nut. Using a 12mm spanner (not supplied), tighten clockwise.
Mixing Blade Assembly
12. Refer to Fig.4 and select parts bag D (13).
13. Using the two holes provided at the base of the
lower drum (11), insert one of the M8x20 bolts
from the underside of the drum. Thread the
leather washer (11) (leather side first) onto the
bolt inside the lower drum (11). Mount one of
the mixing blades (12) inside the lower drum
(11). Thread the small flanged end of a mixing
blade (10) onto the washer and then loosely fit
one of the lock nuts. Do not tighten at this stage.
Repeat for the second blade.
Upper Drum Assembly
14. Refer to Fig.5 and select parts bag E (13).
15. Position the upper drum (9) over the rim of
the lower drum (11). Ensure that all the
mounting holes on the upper drum (9) and
lower drum (11) align as well as the arrows on
either side of the rim.
16. Insert the M6x12 cross headed screws into each
of the six mounting holes in the rim. Using a
12mm spanner, secure each screw from below
with the lock nuts.
Note:
Make sure tightening is carried out evenly and
progressively at this stage.
Mixing Blades to Upper Drum Assembly
17. Insert two M8x16 cross headed screws into the upper drum (9) from the outside,
through the holes provided. Position the leather washer from the inside of the
upper drum (9) (leather side towards the drum), followed by the mixing blades
(12). Using a spanner and Philips Head screwdriver, secure a lock nut onto the
screw on the inside.
Important:
Ensure the top and the bottom of the mixing blades (12) are tightly
secured before continuing.
