Locking Plate Assembly
18. Refer to Fig.6 and select parts bag F (13).
19. Slide the locking plate (14) over the large
diameter shaft at the support leg (18) end of
the frame assembly (5) with the rim facing
inwards. Align the two holes in the middle
section of the locking plate (14) with the two
holes in the bearing bracket (10). Using a
12mm spanner, secure the two M8x20 bolts
and lock nuts.
Note:
Ensure the locking plate (14) sits against
the casting shoulder and is clear of the circlip.
Tipping Bar and Spring Assembly
20. Refer to Fig.7 and select parts bag G (13).
21. With the help of a second person, insert the
spring into the tube of the tipping handle (16).
Engage the location pin on the tipping
handle (16) into the locking plate (14) and use
this as a lever to compress the spring against
the large shaft.
22. Press down on the tipping handle (16) until
the holes in the large diameter shaft line up
with the holes in the tipping handle (16).
Insert the M8x50 hex bolt and screw on the
lock nut from the opposite side. Screw the
nut up against the bracket firmly in a
clockwise direction and tighten with a 12mm
spanner.
Note:
Ensure the tipping handle (16) easily pivots
on the large diameter shaft so that the lug on the
bracket can be engaged or disengaged from the
hole in the locking plate (14).
