OPERATION
USING THE KILL SWITCH FUNCTION - MOB
If the captain falls overboard with the remote control attached to their body, the engine(s) will stop. In case of a
Man Overboard (MOB) situation, the start panel will emit a beep for 12 seconds and the red LED indicator starts
flashing as an indication of a MOB situation.

WARNING

The gear lever must be returned to neutral for the engine(s) to start.

The CoastKey system will only work as a Kill Switch if the remote control was used to start the
engines.

CoastKey will only stop the engine(s) if the driver falls overboard and has the remote control
attached.

Never leave the remote control in the boat while driving.

Unlike the physical lanyard switch, CoastKey will not stop the engine(s) in case of a fall onboard the
boat.

The
START/STOP
button on the remote control must be pressed and held to stop the engine(s).
Starting engine after MOB situation
1.
Wait u
ntil the MOB process is complete! 12 seconds after a MOB situation, the ignition switches
automatically on.
2.
On the start panel, press and hold the
START
button.
After h
olding for about 2 seconds, the start signal goes on to all installed engines.
3.
Release
the
START
button once the engines have started.
NOTE!
When the engine(s) have been restarted in this way, the engine(s) will be operable for 1 hour
before the PIN code or
remote control
must be used to restart the system. We recommend restarting the
engine(s) using the
remote control
as soon as possible to reactivate the Kill Switch function.
Taking control if a false MOB situation occurs
1.
On the start panel, press and release the
ON/OFF
button.
The
MOB process is interrupted and ihe ignition switches on.
2.
O
n the start panel, press and hold the
START
button.
After h
olding for about 2 seconds, the start signal goes on to all installed engines.
3.
O
n the start panel, release the
START
button once the engines have started.
NOTE!
When the captain is back in the boat after a MOB situation, the remote control must be reactivated for
the Kill Switch function to be active.
