7.12 Settings Page
The Setting Page allows for saving and loading configuration files to and from the SD card.
The
[Save File]
button saves a file, with the name of your choosing, onto the local SD card.
This file can then be used to reload current settings by clicking the button with the same
name in the "Restore setup" section (in the example above
[RecRealTme.txt]
). The
configuration can also be loaded into another FlashBack-3 by transferring the SD card and
clicking the
[RecRealTime.txt]
button on the target unit's "Settings" webpage.
"settings.txt" is a special file name that can be used to transfer the current configuration to
another unit without using the target device's webpage. Save a file called "settings" to the SD
card via the
[Save File]
button. Copy this file (which is located in the "settings" folder of the
SD card) to the
root
directory of another SD card. Now place this card in the target device
and reboot. The new configuration is automatically loaded and the "settings.txt" transferred to
the "settings" folder of the SD card. If you wish to transfer the same configuration to a many
of other units, change the "settings.txt" file properties to "read-only" on the SD card. This will
ensure the same settings are loaded each time a unit is booted with that card.
NB►
The IP address is included in the settings files. If you are using a Static IP, the original
IP address will be transferred to all subsequent units.
"autosave.txt" is
a settings file that’s generated each time the unit boots. It is used by the
system to retain the configuration during an upgrade or can be used to reload the previous
settings.
The
[Defaults]
button resets all the FlashBack-3 parameters including IP address to DHCP /
static of 192.168.0.123.
