Allergic reaction
►
Avoid skin contact with the product in case of known allergies to chrome or nickel.
►
Adapt the axilla loop as shown in the figure, noting the following points in particular:
►
CAUTION! Nickel –
patients sensitive to nickel should avoid wearing the buckle
( 21Y195=25) in direct contact with their skin.
►
For the best possible force transmission, position the ring on the patient as shown (inter
section of the line between the humeral heads and the spine).
►
If required, attach the flexion cable to the ring as shown in the figure (routing of the flexion
cable: under the armpit).
►
+
INFORMATION:
Complete these points when finishing the definitive prosthesis.
These points also apply for the flexion cable.
►
CAUTION!
Weld the ends of the shortened straps with a lighter flame.

(Page 4):
Mounting the strap buckle
►
Mount the strap buckle as shown in the figure, noting the following points in particular:
INFORMATION:
The spacer sleeve
allows the strap buckle to adapt to any movement.
►
During positioning, ensure that the straps are routed as shown in the figures (lock cable
routing: over the shoulder) and the radii of the pull cables are not too tight.
Alternative component: instead of the 29C5 setting nut, the 507S15 lamination disc can
also be used; a thread (M4) has to be cut into it.
►
+
NOTICE!
Make sure the pull cable is not damaged by the scissors and lighter flame.
4
(Page 5):
Optional: removing the prehensile cable
►
For a hybrid prosthesis, the pull cable of the prehensile cable can be removed as shown in
the figure.
4
(Page 5):
Mounting the Bowden cable
►
Mount the Bowden cable as shown in the figure, noting the following points in particular:
►
Pull the Bowden cable over the cable and fasten it in the strap buckle by slightly rotating it
to the right. Secure with superglue if necessary.
►
Instead of the 29C5 setting nut, the 507S15 lamination disc can also be used; a thread
(M4) has to be cut into it.
►
NOTICE!
Do not kink the 21A17=3.8* and 21A6.
5
(Page 6):
Mounting the pull cables
►
Shorten the pull cables to a length suitable for the patient. Then mount the pull cables as
shown in the figure, noting the following points in particular:
►
Mounting the prehensile cable
Mount the components on the pull cables of the body harness and prosthetic hand (suitable
tools: Perlon cable – 711F2; steel cable – 736Y6).
