1.2. “Replay” and the HX Offline Analysis Program
The HX allows you to review the spectra, identifications, and alarms for each survey with the
Replay feature, which is discussed in Chapter 6. This is a built-in, simplified version of the
accompanying PC-based utility, the HX Offline Analysis Program (P/N 931080).
Both Replay and the HX Offline Analysis Program allow you to view the spectral contents of
ICD1/ICD2 file pairs, the real time and live time for each spectrum contained in each
ICD1/ICD2 file pair, the radioactive sources identified (if any), and the alarm types associated
with each identification.
In addition, the HX Offline Analysis Program allows you to do the following on survey files
downloaded to the PC:

Export all the spectra in an ICD1/ICD2 file pair to a set of ORTEC
.CHN
-format spectrum
files. The
.CHN
files can then be viewed and analyzed in more detail in ORTEC applications
such as GammaVision.

Reanalyze the data set with different nuclide libraries (at present there is only one).
