if y o u do n o t want to m e r g e any m o r e files.
To k e e p y o u i n f o r m e d , a message is displayed each time any of the old
files is m e r g e d into the n e w file.

W h e n a new filename is c r e a t e d as a result of copying, a message to
that effect is displayed.
2.
If the n e w filename is the same as the old filename, the n e w
filename n e e d not be specified.

T h e old filename n e e d not include the disc drive n u m b e r if c o p y i n g
f r o m the default drive. T h e same applies to the new filename.

If y o u are not using default drives, y o u must specify the drive
n u m b e r s in old and new filenames, even if the drive n u m b e r s are the
same.

y o u can specify all the files on a disc in one instruction either by the
use of * as wildcards to give a totally a m b i g u o u s filename or by
specifying only the disc drive n u m b e r without q u o t e s (see e x a m p l e
instructions 6 and 7).
