0 * If the film has not loaded correctly, a "0" appears on the display instead of a "1".
0 * The camera loads the film automatically, irrespective of whether the power is
switched on or off.
SETTING THE FILM SPEED
The camera uses standard 35 mm film cassettes type 135 with DX coding; the film
speed (ISO 100-800) is automatically set when the film is loaded.
ZOOMING WITH THE LENS (Fig. 7)
With the power switched on:
0 1. Move the telephoto/wide angle zoom lever to the "T" end. The lens zooms towards
the subject and can stop in four positions if the lever is released. If the movement is
not halted, the lens continues to zoom in further until the telephoto position is
reached and it stops automatically.
0 2. Move the telephoto/wide angle lens to the "W" end. The lens zooms out and can
stop in four positions if the lever is released. If the movement is not halted the lens
zooms out from the subject until the wide angle position is reached and it stops
automatically.
AUTO FOCUS (Fig. 8)
This camera has an integral multi-step auto focus system. The system determines the
distance of the subject from the camera and sets the optimum focus automatically
as the photograph is taken.
The AF system sets the lens to the best focus appropriate to the determined distance
before the shutter is released. This AF system means the user is always able to take
sharp photographs.
