3. The "Battery empty" symbol appears if the battery voltage is too low to take an
acceptable photograph. If your battery is in this state then all camera functions are
disabled. The camera cannot take photographs at such a low voltage. The battery
must be replaced with a new one.
SWITCHING THE POWER ON/OFF
Press the On/off button once (Fig. 4) to switch on the power. The lens extends and
remains in the wide angle position. The camera is ready for action. To switch off the
power, press the On/off button once again. The lens moves immediately into the off
position, irrespective of its previous position.
AUTOMATIC POWER SWITCH-OFF
If the camera power is on and the camera has not been used for 5 minutes, then the
system switches the camera power off and moves the lens first into the "off” position
and then into "W" position. You should avoid inadvertently leaving the camera
switched on as this wastes battery power.
To operate the camera again, press any button and the relevant camera function is
immediately carried out.
To switch off press "Power" – the lens moves back into the off position and the lens
cover is activated.
LOADING FILM

1. Slide the back cover lock downwards to open the camera back cover.

2. Insert a new film into the film compartment and hold the film cassette in position.

3. Pull out the start of the film until it reaches the film start marking on the inside of the
camera. (Fig. 5).

4. Close the camera back cover. The film will then be automatically wound forward to
the first exposure position. The number "1" appears on the liquid crystal display.
