Using Facebook and Twitter
on Your NOOK Tablet
At this writing, neither Facebook nor Twitter had an app for the NOOK—although
you can still link your Facebook and Twitter accounts to the NOOK and use them
in concert with NOOK Friends, as already described. But that could change at
any time. So it’s worthwhile to head to the NOOK Store every now and then
and search for Facebook or Twitter to see whether either of their apps become
available.
However, there’s at least one app that lets you use both Facebook and Twitter
on your NOOK Tablet. It’s free, it’s available now, and it’s worth getting. It’s
called Seesmic, and you can download it from the NOOK Store.
After you download it, press the NOOK button, choose Apps, and then look
for the Seesmic icon and tap it; the app launches. Tap “Add an account,” and
you can add accounts not just for Facebook and Twitter, but for other social
networking services as well, including . For each account, enter your
username and password, and then tap Sign in.
