Configuring the HBA for Hot-Plug Operation
To Configure the HBA for Hot-Plug Operation
1.
Locate the green Power OK LED indicator near the bottom of the HBA front
panel.
Power OK LED indicator status is shown in the following table.

Off
No power to the HBA
Removal is permitted, or the HBA must be configured
Blinking
Hot-plug in process
Removal of the HBA is not permitted
Solid green
HBA is properly configured
Removal is not permitted

If the green Power OK indicator is not illuminated, briefly press the Attention
button near the bottom of the HBA front panel.
The green Power OK LED will blink for approximately five seconds and then remain on,
indicating that the HBA is properly configured.
3.
To cancel the operation, press the Attention button again before the Power OK
LED stops blinking.
Removing the Hardware
