4.3 Operation
The power electronic controlled motor drives the worm shaft, which is mounted
on a hollow shaft. This can be coupled to the valve either directly or using an
additional gearing..
A position sensor next to the worm shaft detects speed and the direction of
rotation.
A hand crank is provided for manual operation. Please refer to 6.3 for specific
operation steps.
The actuator is equipped with a local control panel with various elements for
operation and display. Switch the mode selector switch to LOCAL in order to
drive the actuator with the + / - push buttons.
