Balancing the Speaker Volume Levels
Adjust each speaker’s relative volume until each speaker’s
test tone sounds equally loud at the listening position.
• If you switch DVD audio during the speaker level set-
ting, the speaker tone may be muted and the setting
mode may be cancelled.
• You cannot adjust the level while the headphones are
connected.
• This setting is stored after the unit is placed in Standby
mode.

MEMORY
Press TEST TONE on the remote controller.
Each speaker emits the test tone (pink noise).
Adjust the volume level.
Press VOLUME
to adjust the level until the test tone is
heard clearly.
• If you do not press any button while the test tone is sound-
ing, each remaining speaker automatically emits the two-sec-
ond test tone in turn, completing ten rounds through the set
of six speakers. Then the test tone stops.

Note:
• Since the original level of the test tone is soft, if you have raised the volume in Step 2,
press VOLUME
after Step 3 to lower the volume to the original level.

Volume level
Press TEST TONE.
The level settings are memorized, and the unit
displays the standard screen.

select a speaker, then press

• You can adjust the volume level in
the range of –12 dB to +12 dB for
the satellite speakers.
• You can adjust the subwoofer level
in the range of –30 t12.
