4.2.1. Disassembling the Display Module
The display module (A) is mainly composed of two modules, one LCD (B) and the other front bezel (C)
modules.
To disassemble the display module, follow the steps below.
1. Detach the LCD module (A) from the front
the bezel module (B) by unscrewing the six
screws used to fix the two modules
together.
2. Remove the LCD panel (1) from the LCD
holder (2) by unscrewing the four screws
used to retain them together.
3. For MP1200, detach the LCD
power wires from the inverter
and remove the inverter from the
LCD holder by loosening the two
retaining screws. For MP1500,
detach the two LCD brackets (3)
from the LCD panel by
unscrewing the two screws at
each side.
4. Disconnect the two speaker
wires and the IrDA/speaker
cable from the speaker
board (4).
5. Remove the IrDA/speaker
board (4) by unscrewing the
two screws used to fix it to
the front bezel.
6. Remove the two speakers (5)
from the front bezel by
unscrewing the two
retaining screws at each
side.
7. Remove the touchscreen (7)
from the front bezel by
unscrewing the ten screws
used to retain the four touch
brackets (6) to the front
bezel.
