Input Type Setting
The input type can be set independently for each input (inputs 1 to 4) to ther-
mocouple input, platinum resistance thermometer input, current input (4 to 20
mA or 0 to 20 mA), or voltage input (1 to 5 V, 0 to 5 V, or 0 to 10 V).
After the input types are set in the corresponding DM words (m+19, m+24,
m+29, and m+34), the input type settings will be transferred from the CPU
Unit to the Universal Input Unit the next time that the power is turned ON or
the Unit is restarted.

Temperature Unit Setting
When the input type is set to thermocouple input or platinum resistance ther-
mometer input, set the temperature units to Celsius or Fahrenheit.
If the temperature is Celsius, it isn’t necessary to set the temperature units
because the default setting is 0:
