FM MENU PROCESSING FOR FM
Preset Protection Menu
The
Preset Protection
Menu is also common to all processing types. It allows you to password protect a preset so that it cannot
be modified or copied for use in another Omnia.9. In addition, the settings for this preset will be hidden from view as long as
the preset is locked.
To password protect a preset, enter a password, click on “OK,” and then on “Protect Preset.” A warning dialogue box will
appear. If your intention really is to protect the preset, select “Yes.” The final step is saving the new, protected preset with
a unique name in the Save Preset menu. Protected presets appear in green in the Load Preset menu. Remember not to
accidentally leave an unencrypted version of your preset in the Backup Preset slot!
To un-protect a preset, return to the Preset Protection menu, enter your password, click on “OK,” and then on “Unlock Preset.”
Please note: if you lock a preset and forget the password, support canenu, enter your passwo. Make sure to write your password down
somewhere. For best practice, save a local copy using the NfRemote software.
NfRemote also auto-saves a local copy any time you press Save, in separate folders for each day, for each unit you’re connected
to. You’ll find them in c:\Users\user\AppData\Local\NfRemote\local_copies\. This is useful to know, as it may contain an
earlier unprotected version of a preset.
